Dr. Carmina Craciun

Dr. Carmina Craciun joined North County Animal Hospital in September 2026 and has professional interests in nutrition, holistic medicine, and surgery. She is especially passionate about improving pain management for senior pets and helping them enjoy the best possible quality of life.

Originally from Vancouver, Washington, Dr. Craciun earned both her undergraduate degree in Animal Sciences and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from St. George’s University in Grenada, completing her clinical training at Texas A&M University. Childhood summers spent in a rural Romanian village sparked her love of animals and inspired her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Craciun enjoys traveling, outdoor adventures, video games, and discovering great food. She shares her home with Franklin, a Caribbean Potcake dog, and Rick, a Russian tortoise. Fluent in both English and Romanian, she enjoys connecting with clients from a variety of backgrounds.
