Portrait of Dr. Marie Allen

Dr. Marie Allen

Dr. Marie Allen joined North County Animal Hospital in October 2025 and brings a strong interest in both surgery and dermatology. She finds the greatest reward in her work through helping pets live more comfortable, healthy lives by alleviating pain and improving their quality of life.

Originally from Skamokawa, Washington, Dr. Allen earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Washington State University in 2015 before completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the University of Sydney in 2021. Growing up in an area with limited veterinary care and a deep love for animals inspired her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.

At home, Dr. Allen enjoys life with her Australian Shepherd, Foster, who keeps her active and entertained. Outside of the hospital, she has a wide range of hobbies including bouldering, scuba diving, hiking, reading, and watching horror movies.
